When using ultrasonic technology for cutting processing, the ultrasonic vibrator generates vibration (converts electrical energy into mechanical energy), transfers heat through the HORN (welding head), and rotates and extrudes to the flower wheel (tool) to obtain what is needed for ultrasonic processing effect.
Specific processing methods of ultrasonic cutting
(1) The amplitude of the ultrasonic vibration generated by the ultrasonic cutting spindle is 30-50μm, vibrating along the axis of the cutting spindle, and the cutting power is hundreds of watts. In addition to the 5 motion axes (X, Y, Z, A, C) of the conventional high-speed milling machine, the ultrasonic cutting machine is also equipped with a sixth CNC axis to adjust the spatial orientation of the ultrasonic tool. For example, when cutting a circular workpiece, the orientation of the blade is always along the tangent direction of the circular workpiece.
(2) When cutting honeycomb materials, there are two kinds of knives used in ultrasonic cutting: one is a straight-edged knife used to dig into the excess blank material, which makes a V-shaped movement in the vertical direction to cut a large piece of blank material. And cut out the surface of the workpiece on the blank. The other is a disc knife, which is used to deal with the sawtooth marks left on the surface of the workpiece after the straight-edged knife is cut, and finally the surface of the workpiece is trimmed into the required plane or curved surface according to the process requirements.
(3) Cutting fiber materials is much simpler than cutting honeycomb materials. It only needs to use a straight-blade cutter to cut in the two-dimensional range of the material surface to obtain the desired shape of the workpiece.
