Design of the amplitude parameter of the horn: the amplitude is a key parameter for the material to be welded, which is equivalent to the temperature of ferrochrome. If the temperature is not reached, it will not be welded. If the temperature is too high, the raw materials will be burnt or the structure will be damaged The intensity becomes worse. Due to the different transducers selected, the amplitude of the transducer output is different. After adapting the horn and welding horn with different transformation ratios, the working amplitude of the welding horn can be corrected to meet the requirements. The output amplitude is 10-20 μm, and the working amplitude is generally about 30 μm. The transformation ratio of the horn and the welding horn is related to the shape of the horn and the welding horn, the front-to-back area ratio, and other factors. For the shape, such as exponential amplitude, Function type amplitude change, step type amplitude change, etc., have a great influence on the transformation ratio, and the front-to-rear area ratio is proportional to the total transformation ratio. If a different welding machine is selected, the simplest method is to make it according to the proportion of the working welding horn, which can ensure the stability of the amplitude parameter.


Ultrasonic Horn frequency parameter design: The ultrasonic welding machine has a center frequency, such as 20KHz, 40 KHz, etc. The working frequency of the welding machine is mainly composed of the machinery of the transducer, booster, and horn. The resonance frequency is determined. The frequency of the generator is adjusted according to the mechanical resonance frequency to achieve consistency, so that the welding horn works in resonance, and each part is designed as a half-wavelength resonator. Both the generator and the mechanical resonance frequency have a resonance working range. If it is generally set to ± 0.5 KHz, the welding machine can basically work normally within this range. When manufacturing each welding horn, the resonance frequency will be adjusted. Make sure that the error between the resonance frequency and the design frequency is less than 0.1 KHZ. For a 20KHz welding horn, the frequency of the welding horn will be controlled at 19.90-20.10 KHz with an error of 5 ‰.

Design of ultrasonic horn vibration nodes: Welding horns and horns are designed as a half-wavelength resonator with a working frequency. In the working state, the amplitude of the two end faces is the largest and the stress is the smallest, while the node amplitude equivalent to the middle position is zero. Stress is greatest. The node position is generally designed as a fixed position, but the thickness of the fixed position is usually greater than 3mm, or the groove is fixed, so the fixed position is not necessarily zero amplitude, which will cause some calls and part of the energy loss. The noise is usually isolated from other parts by rubber rings or shielded by sound insulation materials. The energy loss is considered when designing the ultrasonic horn amplitude parameters.


Design of ultrasonic horn processing accuracy: Because it works under high frequency vibration, a symmetrical design should be maintained as much as possible to avoid unbalanced stress and lateral vibration caused by the asymmetry of sound wave transmission (the welding horn used for welding uses ultrasonic vibration Longitudinal transmission, for the entire resonance system), uneven vibration can cause welding hair to heat and break. Ultrasonic welding has different requirements for processing accuracy in different industries. For extremely thin workpieces, such as welding of lithium ion battery pole pieces and tabs, coating of gold foil, etc., the processing accuracy requirements are very high.
